My desktop is a brand new build running windows 10. Real tone cable doesn't work on Windows 10, Rocksmith 2014.Ĭlick the arrow next to sound, video and game controllers to expand that list. What consoles/systems can use the real tone cable? HDMI Capture Device Xbox. So i've had a couple of days now with windows 8.1 and when i decided to use my ubisoft real tone cable which is usually recognized by my computer as rocksmith guitar adapter i get a, code 10, device not functioning. Rocksmith real tone cable the rocksmith real tone cable is a unique 1/4 -to-usb cable that enables rocksmith to detect and respond to your electric guitar or bass. Automatically install the most authentic and play. Any thoughts? I'll just keep playing around with it.The unique cable design ensures quick release of the guitar from the gaming console or computer to protect the player's gear. I do this and strum on the my guitar and nothing happens, so I must not be configuring it right. So it seems like I should set the audio input to Bitwig Studio and output to system with Bitwig Studio config. And system -> capture_1 is being connected with Bitwig Studio in_0. Also in my JACK connections I can see that Bitwig Studio outputs are being connected to the system playbacks. This confuses me and I tried doing input: "system" output: "system" but that didn't do anything. The same choices are available for output. In the dropdown for audio input devices there is "None", "system","Bitwig Studio". In Bitwig preferences I can select JACK as an audio system choice. If I start the JACK server and then load up Bitwig. However, I'm still trying to get to my end goal of being able to record in Bitwig Studio. I was able to successfully configure JACK to work with GuitarIX, so now I can hear and add effects to my guitar in guitarIX, which is great. I'm going to keep monkeying around with Bitwig. Some kind of guitar processing driver? Not sure. Maybe I need an additional piece of software between Rocksmith and Bitwig for Linux. At least it was able to recognize it right? But I think I may be missing some larger pieces. I've just been pressing buttons like an enraged primate. I'm naiive and no nothing about using DAWs. Now I'm trying to figure out how to actually record sound from my input device. Then I chose the appropriate output source, my speakers. I plugged in my Rocksmith USB cable, fired up Bitwig, and I was immediately able to see that the Rocksmith USB was an audio input choice. I also just bought a Rocksmith Real Tone Cable, since I've read that you can use it with many DAWs and programs (like garage band and GuitarIX). My goal is to record and add effects to my electric guitar within Bitwig. I just got the newly released cross platform Bitwig Studio DAW (from some of the makers of Ableton) and threw it on my Linux Ubuntu machine.
